How to Factory Reset the Apple MacBook Air (M3)
Warning: A factory reset permanently erases all data, settings, and installed apps. Back up anything important before you begin.
Factory reset the Apple MacBook Air M3 using Erase All Content and Settings in macOS.
Steps

Click the Apple menu () in the top-left corner and choose System Settings.

Click General in the sidebar.

Click Transfer or Reset on the right side.

Click Erase All Content and Settings.

Enter your Mac login password when prompted, then click OK.

Review the items that will be erased. Click Continue.

Sign out of your Apple ID when prompted to disable Activation Lock, then click Continue.

Click Erase All Content & Settings to confirm. The Mac will erase and restart automatically.
