Warning: A factory reset permanently erases all data, settings, and installed apps. Back up anything important before you begin.

Factory reset the iRobot Roomba j7 or j7+ to erase all Wi-Fi credentials, saved Imprint Smart Maps, schedules, and app pairing.

Steps

    Make sure the Roomba is powered on.

    Remove the dust bin from the robot.

  3. 3

    Press and hold the Clean button for 7 seconds until the robot plays a tone.

  4. 4

    Tap the Clean button once more to confirm the reset.

  5. 5

    The robot will proceed with the factory reset. Wait for it to reboot.

  6. 6

    Once complete, all Wi-Fi credentials, Imprint Smart Maps, schedules, and preferences are erased. Re-add the robot in the iRobot Home app as a new device.
