How to Factory Reset the Netgear Nighthawk AX12

Reset the Netgear Nighthawk AX12 (RAX120) router to factory defaults to clear all custom settings.

Steps

1. 1

   Ensure the router is powered on — the power LED should be solid white.

   Locate the Reset button on the rear panel of the router (a small recessed button).

3. 3

   Use a paperclip or pin to press and hold the Reset button for 7 seconds until the power LED flashes amber.

4. 4

   Release the button. The router will reboot automatically.

5. 5

   Wait 2–3 minutes for the router to complete the reset. The power LED will turn solid white when ready.

6. 6

   Connect to the default Wi-Fi network (printed on the router label) and open routerlogin.net to reconfigure.
